Resume Lab is a free website that asks you a few short questions and suggests a resume style. This page explains what happens to your information. The short version: we don't ask for your personal information, and we don't store your answers or your resume.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. Specifically:

  • Quiz answers. Your answers are used in your own browser to choose a style. They are not sent to us and they are not saved.
  • No accounts, forms or sign-ups. You don't create an account or enter your name, email or any contact details on this site.
  • No feedback survey. If a suggested style doesn't feel right, the site shows you other styles. It never asks you for information.
  • Your resume. We never see or store your resume content. You create it yourself in Figma, in your own account.

Technical information from our host

Like any website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider (Vercel). When you load a page, the host may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, so the site can be delivered and kept secure. We do not use this to identify you. See Vercel's privacy policy for how they handle it.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not use cookies or browser storage to track you.

Other services you may use

  • Figma. The site links to a Figma file. To copy it and make your resume you need a Figma account. Figma collects and uses your information under its own privacy policy, and we can't see your Figma account or your files.
  • AI tools. The site can give you a short text description of your style (colors, fonts and layout rules) to paste into an AI tool. That text contains no personal information. What you type into an AI tool afterwards is covered by that tool's own privacy policy.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Because we don't collect or store personal information, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have a question or concern about privacy, please contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site works in a way that affects your privacy (for example, by adding analytics), we will update this page and the date at the top.
